Yep - run her out of gas - switch to reserve and she is going to act like the most notorious Savage on earth

Thank about it- you are out of gas - the carb float bowl is empty - - a rather extreme lean position - then a trickle of gas starts getting through - and POP - a classic lean backfire - or two or three - and a few snorts of disgust at getting to such a state - easily 1/4 mile worth.

And yes - the pickup for the reserve is below the pickup for the mains so any crud in the tank has drifted towards the bottom - and that "water" just is not going to make the engine very happy.

Bike has no brain so it cannot look dumb -humans who are wise enough to have an AAA card are not dumb either - good foresite - sure saves on the shoe leather walking home!

All in all a good learning experience
1. Savages backfire - running out of gas in the on position gaurantees a few pops
2. An AAA card in your wallet and a cell phone sure saves a lot of agro!
